A fresh, clean fragrance with light and energetic top notes accompanied by an unmistakable Mediterranean aroma of rosemary, the freshness of water and saltiness of the sea.
The middle notes feature sequoia wood enhanced with the energy of cardamon. Patchouli and musk naturally compliment the fragrance’s base notes.
Sport is self-challenge: a route to fitness, for ourselves as much as for others.
Sport is an equilibrium of mind and body.
A pure all-Italian ideal, inherited from classical Greece to ancient Rome:
sport is competition; a beautiful moment and a challenge for us and our adversaries. Dolce&Gabbana The One Sport celebrates the deepest and most genuine values of sport and life.
Purity and clarity are as intrinsic to the design as much as the fragrance.
The smooth glass and acrylic casing are as transparent as sporting competition itself:
a symbol of elegance, terseness and sincerity, always looking ahead to the future. Only the red pomander is vibrant and full of energy, just like the soul of the Dolce&Gabbana The One Sport man.
he face of Dolce&Gabbana The One Sport is Adam Senn, a model for the designers since 2007. Senn appeared in the GYM Fall-Winter collection of 2011 alongside David Gandy.
“His athletic body and persona made him the perfect choice to represent the fragrance”, states Domenico Dolce. “He perfectly embodies the strength, determination and spirit of The One Sport”, adds Stefano Gabbana. “I believe I can represent The One Sport in a spontaneous and natural way”, explains Senn. “Sports are a part of my daily life – I owe credit to sports for the wellbeing of my body, mind and image”.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s passion for authentic and popular sports such as soccer and boxing is often interpreted by the famous Peruvian photographer Mariano Vivanco, renowned fashion photographer and author of the Dolce&Gabbana books which turned soccer players into elegant and charming icons. No one better could portray Adam Senn as a modern gladiator for The One Sport. Portrayed in a mood of freedom in the open air: an icon of sacrifice, devotion and passion which allows sportsmen to assert their talent.
“In the campaign, we wanted to express the mythic meaning of sport, using the Olympic Games of ancient Greece and the Roman concept of ‘mens sana in corpore sano’ as a reference” explains Stefano Gabbana. “Basically, the campaign represents sports as a part of a healthy lifestyle”, adds Domenico Dolce. “The athletic movements, discipline and fair competition between sportsmen”.
